How to digitize, sign and send documents with your phone

Step-by-step guide to photographing, signing, and submitting your documents using only your smartphone.

Taking a photo of your document

  1. Place the document on a flat surface with good lighting.
  2. Open your phone camera and make sure all four corners are visible.
  3. Avoid shadows and reflections.
  4. Take the photo in landscape mode for wider documents.

Digital signatures

Some race organizers require a signed authorization form. You can sign digitally using free apps like Adobe Fill & Sign or Docusign, or draw your signature directly in the order form if supported.

Uploading in the order form

In the RetiraKit order form, tap the document field and select your photo from your gallery. Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, and PDF. Maximum size: 10 MB per file.

No printer needed

The entire process is digital. You never need to print, mail, or physically deliver any document.

Frequently asked questions

  • My document photo is blurry — will it be accepted?

    Probably not. Blurry documents are the most common cause of rejection. Retake the photo in better lighting and ensure the text is clearly readable.

  • Can I send a PDF scan?

    Yes, PDFs are accepted. Use a scanner app like Microsoft Lens or Adobe Scan for best results.
